Fall semester has ended and the holidays are coming up! This fall I tried out photography for the first time and got to know both Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. I also worked a bit on my drawing skills in my Intro to Drawing class! Overall it's been a good past few months!!
The following are my favorite pieces from my Digital Media class. I went out and took a bunch of photos focusing on my beloved Brick Chapel in Historic St. Mary's City, Maryland. I edited the colors to follow my assignment.
As my final class assignment I chose to make a graphic novel page in Adobe Illustrator. I wasn't sure what to use as my subject matter so I adapted an excerpt from Charlotte Brontë's Jane Eyre (my favorite book!), editing it slightly to fit in my layout. Naturally, I owe a lot to the genius Charlotte Brontë and her amazing novel.
The following projects were all completed for my drawing class (intro level). The one below is a sequential art project in which we had to illustrate a story the class invented as a group. I had a lot of fun with it and chose to depict the family we wrote about as a raccoon family! I may post a collection of close-ups on each frame because it's a little difficult to see from this picture.
This ink drawing is a mix between architectural study and integration of the details and subject of a photograph from the late 1800s or very early 20th century. The little girl was so much fun to draw that I felt she deserved a close-up.
